foto story #88--New cake pans

A few weeks ago, we were headed out to run some errands and the mailman had a large box that needed signing for. We were curious as to the contents, neither on of us had ordered anything from Amazon and we could see that it came from there. Troy quickly slit it open and we found a football shaped cake pan inside. Troy, looking puzzled, dug through the box in search of the receipt. I, on the other hand, knew that it must be from Aunt Claudia and the receipt confirmed it.
A few days later, another large box arrived and 4 more shaped pans were inside! We will have plenty of choices for the next birthdays or just any ole day for cool cakes!
Troy was dying for a football cake and set to work on it.
He did a great job and it tasted wonderful.

Thanks again Aunt Claudia for the surprises in the mail! We will enjoy all the fun new shapes.

Aren't cake pans so much fun....and I LOVE that Troy was the first one to use one of them! That rocks! I think you definitely have me out done on the cake pan front now, we have a mere 4 pans. A fish, a train, a pirate, and a monkey! Miss ya sista! Love and hugs!

YAY!!! Glad they came. Now I'm thinking you could make lips out of the football pan and a robot out of the purse...Know they'll get lots of use at your house. Love ya all!

Mail surprises are always the best.

And, while a cake pan was nice, I'd prefer just a cake:)

Of all people, my ten year old son happened to be here when the football cake came up.

He'd like to come live with you. :)

First, I've always thought it would be super to have someone in my life who suprised me with packages. I'm always the supris'er'. Not even my momma sends me stuff. But that's a whole blog in itself LOL ;) Second, said momma & I were just talking about cake pans the other day & cakes from the "old days" that were made in them like Cabbage Patch kids & such. Third, the football cake is awesome & we'd have used that one first too. LOL. Stopping in from PSF....

I haven't decorated a cake since my youngest two were born. That's so awful. Maybe I'll remedy that soon. Maybe. ;)

Have fun.

Oh! Cake pans are so fun. How do you store them all? My son would love that train and would be asking for cake all the time if we had it.

Great football cake! :)
