Quote of the month...

"Standing tall is a very admirable thing. There are very few stories in history of heroes who slouched to the rescue. Likewise, most individuals don't look up to people who are drooped over."

Foto Story Friday #67 --my girls

Because no matter how you add it up 6 times even the cheapest package is too expensive! And because I really do want to get better at this photography thing, I took my kids out for a little photo shoot. I had a great place in mind and I wanted to go in the early evening..... but time moves faster than 7 people, we arrived a bit later than I wanted.... As it is I give you my daughters:
EmmaLece the youngest, but very strong willed.

Savanna determined and in charge!

Shantel finding her niche.
Each beautiful in their own ways.

Foto Story Friday #66 -- a wedding photo

Sunday evening Troy and I went to the wedding of 2 of his co-workers. It was a nice ceremony, not long and drawn out. The bride was beautiful in her gown and the groom handsome in his tux. I will not be posting their pictures as I don't have their permission. But I will post this fun picture:

When the "I dos" were over and they were announced as Mr and Mrs, one of the groomsmen and fellow co-worker, dashed over with a set of handcuffs and slapped them on. As they walked back down the aisle I snapped this shot of their hands. I think I'll call it "Doin' Time" or maybe "Doin' Life"

Foto Story Friday #65-- The first day of school!

August 26th was the first day of school for this crew and all the kids in our town. Some of these kids had a hard time sleeping and were bright eyed at 6 AM!
In order of age they lined up for the annual first day photos!
Cody is off to High School this year! Yikes. and he almost has a real license only a few more hours to collect and the 6 month mark! Big steps this year!
Shantel is big dog on campus at the middle school.... 8th grade!
Savanna is no longer low man on the totem pole, she's a 6th grader!
Robby is top dog this year too at the grade school as a 4th grader!
Scott man is ready for his first day of school
With Em by his side they are ready to conquer the kindergarten!
For the first time ever we have 6 backpacks waiting for the school bells to ring!
But first there is waiting who knew 6 kids could get ready for school SO fast?!
Is it time?
Finally we arrive at school. Unload all the supplies, hang our bags and head out to the playground.
for more pictures!
Kindergarten is a big step, but I think they can handle it!

One last photo waiting in line to start that first day!
