Quote of the month...

"Standing tall is a very admirable thing. There are very few stories in history of heroes who slouched to the rescue. Likewise, most individuals don't look up to people who are drooped over."

Foto-story Friday #18- it's off!

Hosted by Cecily and MamaGeek

These fotos really tell the story without the need of many words:

After 7 weeks of confinement, we get one last shot of the cast before...
she starts to 'cut' it off.
"What exactly IS that?"  The other gal didn't use one of these guides, I guess she feels more comfortable with it.
Cody looks more uncomfortable though.
OK, so now it's cut on both sides.....
she uses these nifty spreaders to crack it open.
Cody has earned the right of taking it apart.  She came back with snipers and removed the water-proof padding.
Cody had put baking soda down inside because it was getting kinda {gag, choke} smelly!
She came back and gave the arm a quick scrub down before sending him off for an x-ray.
It looks a bit skinnier than his left arm and kinda funny too.  After the x-rays the Dr. looked em over and said he would now be cast free!  He got all excited until the Doc went on to say:  No sports, no bikes, no stake-boarding no gym for 3 to 4 weeks!  His face fell.  Then Dad said, "Uh, hunting season is coming up....." The Doc said hunting was fine and the smile returned to his face!  After all he is  left handed and he has a brand-new hunting rifle!
He didn't like how it look so he throughly scrubbed it.  When that wasn't up to his liking, he shaved his arm and felt that he finally got it clean!
