When is it time to do the laundry?.... observations, by me
deciding to wash:
♦ When the dirty laundry has covered every square inch of the laundry room, it just might be time to do the laundry!
♦ When every last stitch of clothing is in the laundry room and every occupant of the house is threatening to run around in their birthday suits, it just might be time to do laundry!
♦ When the kids rooms are clean because all their clothes are in the laundry room, it just might be time to do the laundry!
deciding to fold:
♦ When the clean laundry has multiplied and divided until it covers the width and breadth of the: hall, laundry room {or where ever else you may store clean laundry} and it threatens to take over the ENTIRE house, it just might be time to fold!
♦ When every person in the house has had to paw through the clean piled up laundry to find a complete outfit, it just might be time to fold!
♦ When someone calls and says:"would it be alright if I drop by in the next 1/2 hour?", it just might be time to fold!
♦ When you could swear it moved under its own power, it just might be time to wash, dry and fold that laundry!

"Standing tall is a very admirable thing. There are very few stories in history of heroes who slouched to the rescue. Likewise, most individuals don't look up to people who are drooped over."

Oh man! Isn't laundry just the worst. Too funny!
check, check, and check!
Wish you could come over and we could have a laundry party together!
No way, have you been secretly peeking into my house?! You just described my laundry room! Yikes!
Carrie!!I just looked on the recipe blog & saw that you had Chicken Pillows for dinner tonight! I'm so excited that you liked them!! Yay!!
♥ Yes, this is so MY house! I hate laundry and it always takes forever and it never ends. I have all mine finally folded with 2 more loads to wash still and it's all sitting in baskets waiting to be put away. Putting away is my downfall! I put it away and then the kids take it out and dump it all over their rooms! Drives me crazy!!!
Laundry is an evil task. Once you think you are done...there are piles of new clothes. That is when I wish I was Mary Poppins, and could snap my fingers in order to finish the task!
Thanks for visiting my blog. It's fun to find new friends. I also have 6 children so you described exactly how laundry is at my house also. Funny post! I'm off to do my laundry!
Love it! I hate folding laundry.
Ladies- It's good to know I'm not alone in my laundry struggles! Mine was taking over the hallway, so we finally folded it only to see that there are at least 3 more loads to wash! aarrgh! Our laundry room is also our bathroom so it doesn't take long for it to start to take over! :p
Carrie...too funny. Growing up in a family of nine people and having the washer and dryer in one of the bedrooms it was a constant laundry pile....clean, dirty, ironing, folding. However, once a week my mom would crack the whip and we would all take care of our clothes. We each had a chore and those chores rotated. Needless to say EVERYONE of us hated the laundry chore. But even more I hated it when one of my brothers did laundry. Always ruined someones clothes.
So funny! I was in this spot on Saturday. My son had no clean pants!
Thanks for the laugh!
I can totally relate. I'm glad I'm not the only one with laundry overkill out there.
Your house sounds like my house!!
I hear ya! It's amazing how quickly the laundry takes over. I was so proud of myself for doing like 8 loads in one day...then came the folding. I put it off, stashing my loads in the living room because I was SURE I'd get it done faster that way. Pretty soon my clean pile was getting smaller and my laundry room was piling up again. Aaaahhhhh! Never ending story.
Oh man.. laundry... one of the necessary evils in this world. I vote for paper clothing!
I have to say that since I changed our coat closet to a laundry folding area with the shelves and baskets, I have kept up with the laundry. I HIGHLY recommend it!
Debra- I wish we had an area that could be converted.... Oh well, I guess I'm doomed to wallow in my piles! :D
Oh boy!! YOu hit the nail on the head with that one!!!!
