Quote of the month...
"Standing tall is a very admirable thing. There are very few stories in history of heroes who slouched to the rescue. Likewise, most individuals don't look up to people who are drooped over."

This means War!
A few weeks back my husband switched shifts in order to get Sunday's off. This switch brought him to days. Well, he really liked the group of people who worked his old shift and they liked working with him too, but they felt he abandoned them........ So they paid his vehicle a little visit:

So I took this test and the results were:
Your type is: intp —The “Love of Learning” Mother
“I keep the encyclopedia in the kitchen so we can look up things together while we eat.”
* Intellectually curious and patient, the INTP mother relishes those times with a child when they are learning something interesting together. Whether they’re at the zoo or computer terminal, she sparks to answering his or her “whys” with in-depth responses or new knowledge.
* The INTP mother is also objective and introspective. She listens to and discusses children’s ideas and questions as she would those of a peer, fostering self-esteem and confidence. Open and non-directive, she allows children the freedom to do for themselves and quietly encourages them to believe they can do it.
* Independence, autonomy, intellectual development, and self-reliance are probably the INTP’s highest priorities for her children. An avid reader, she naturally imparts an appreciation and love of reading as well.
* Drawn to all types of learning, the INTP may also value her mothering experience for all the new insights about life it provides her.

52 Weeks of Blessings -- Week 21-- Vehicles
My gas guzzling vehicles!
Yes, they cost an unbelievable amount of $$ to run, but I'm ever so thankful for them! I'm glad that I don't have to walk everywhere,
that I don't have to hitch up a team of horses to get the family around.
I'm glad that I can sit in warmth and quickly get where I need to be when it's cold and wet outside.
I'm glad that I can sit in comfort and be cool when the sun is beating down on the world.

Savanna Grace is 10!
On the 4th of April 1998 we were in a wedding, don't I look just wonderful 8 months pregnant in my bridesmaid dress? This is one of the only pictures I have while pregnant with #3, so I thought I'd throw it in.10 years ago today, we were at an old Ghost town attraction near Vegas trying to convince our baby to get out. ... or trying to get heat stroke! It was very warm and as you could guess, I was not all that comfortable! Judging from my previous 2 pregnancies, this one would be late if allowed to arrive in it's own due time. I was due the 27th but we decided to have an induction on the 26th, the dr would be back from his memorial weekend.
We were living in Indian Springs at the time, so the two older kids stayed with G&G Keiser and we stayed in Vegas at some friend's house. We had to be at the hospital at 3 AM!
One thing I learned from my second pregnancy was that when I hit 5, it's all over but the crying... it might take several hours to get from 0 to5, but once I hit 5, I will be to a 10 in a matter of seconds... well it might really be 3-5 minutes, but no longer. No matter how many times I tried to explain this small detail to the dr, he didn't believe me..... ya know he knows best because he's the one that went to school for all those years and he's delivered many babies, and after all this was only my 3rd delivery, what do I know, right? We went in I got all set up and given the PIT and scraped the membranes. Things are going along just fine. The other thing I learned was that an epidural doesn't really help me... not when they are waiting till a 4 to give it! With this pregnancy I opted to not get one and just had the meds in my IV. So I'm feeling the urge to push, but they all think I'm crazy and to humor me they take a look..... guess what I was to a 10! They were stunned since they had just checked and it was only a 5 and the dr said that he was going to go assist on a C-section! I was told to just wait and not push while they went after the dr. Yeah, like you can wait! He arrived and in a few pushes we had a girl! {We had not found out what we were getting this time since we already had one of each.} She was barely out and several things happened FAST.... the dr yelled a bunch of words with "stat" and in run a whole team of people all carrying little red tool boxes and the baby, whom I haven't even gotten to see, is rushed to the other side of the room. Troy and I are frantic trying to get someone to tell us what is going on. Finally, Troy grabs the dr by the collar and gets his attention! He tells us that the baby wasn't breathing, but she's fine now! WHAT! Yeah, so Savanna wasn't breathing when she was born! Pretty scary! I think the dr was a bit surprised and fearful when Troy got his attention! Savanna Grace was born at 12:46 PM Weighing in at: 8 lbs 3 ozs and measuring:18 inches.
This page is later that day when family and friends arrived to have a peek at our little bundle. {I've gotten better with my scrappin!}
Jan 1999 random pictures of her.... She is like me and will stay up forever, so many times she went to sleep wherever she fell.... tasty rocks!.... the whole crew... sitting pretty... and our house in Vegas.
