My World -- still winter?

Sunday when church let out, it was snowing and blowing and cold! We had near blizzard conditions for several hours and we accumulated about 4 inches on the ground and drifts of 6 inches. The above photo was taken right out the front door.

Look at how the snow drifted or piled up on the suburban.
We are hoping that spring will arrive soon to the band lands of Montana!

Trucker"s Life

My Dad's self published book of poetry. The book jacket reads: 'Trucker's Life, by poet Daren Flynn, is a breath of fresh air and authentic Americana. In a straightforward style, the poet sings the "Eighteen Wheel Truck Driving Blues" and the "Been Gone Too Long Trucker's Blues." He notes with irony that in a life characterized by mobility, the trucker misses the first step his baby takes. Out on the supply lines that link the country together, the trucker can hardly connect the pieces of his home life because he is "Never Home." In the poem titled "Trucking Is Tough," The poet tells with folk song resonance the hard-luck story of a hard-working friend. Flynn's poems tell how the lure of the road can be counterbalanced by the attractions of home.' Below will be selections from the book.
