Quote of the month...

"Standing tall is a very admirable thing. There are very few stories in history of heroes who slouched to the rescue. Likewise, most individuals don't look up to people who are drooped over."

Foto Story Friday #111

Monday morning, as a gift for my friend, I took her baby's photos.  Here's a little peek at here little girl.

Monday evening, Shantel and Savanna wanted to dye their hair.... red!  So we did and they look so cute!
Tuesday bright and early, Troy and I loaded up for a trip to Billings.  Troy had a dr appointment.  We spent the night with friends and Wednesday afternoon he went in for elective surgery.
He had the gastric bypass.  he is doing good and we should get out tomorrow, Sat.

foto story #88--New cake pans

A few weeks ago, we were headed out to run some errands and the mailman had a large box that needed signing for. We were curious as to the contents, neither on of us had ordered anything from Amazon and we could see that it came from there. Troy quickly slit it open and we found a football shaped cake pan inside. Troy, looking puzzled, dug through the box in search of the receipt. I, on the other hand, knew that it must be from Aunt Claudia and the receipt confirmed it.
A few days later, another large box arrived and 4 more shaped pans were inside! We will have plenty of choices for the next birthdays or just any ole day for cool cakes!
Troy was dying for a football cake and set to work on it.
He did a great job and it tasted wonderful.

Thanks again Aunt Claudia for the surprises in the mail! We will enjoy all the fun new shapes.

Foto Story Friday #51 -- Sprinklers

PhotoStory Friday
Hosted by Cecily and MamaGeek

We decided to put sprinklers in the yard.
Cody got picked to dig the trenches.

Next morningTroy had to finish up the trenching.
Then the fun started..... running the pipes
Gluing this end to that one and not forgetting to place the attachments for the sprinkler heads.

Scott was the glue man.
The others had to get in on the action!
Pounding the re-bar into the ground for the control panel.
Attaching the controls.
Back filling the trenches.
Even I got in on the back-filling!
All done!

Foto Story Friday #36 A Shocking Experience

Hosted by Cecily and MamaGeek

The remains of a taser....
from another angle... not sure if you can see the barbs that stick into you when deployed. I hope the video works so you can watch the action. The story is that on Monday, Troy had a taser class from 9 am to 5 pm. He learned a lot and felt a lot as well. They got to choose whether or not to take the barbs, he didn't take the barbs. Instead the simulated a miss-fire and he got the dry shock. This was not a choice, he had to attend for work and he stressed about it for days.
