David and Troy -- I'd just told David, he'd dressed up as a looser in that shirt! Pooooor Bobcats! I'm a Griz fan and he bought this shirt to bug me and other friends who are Griz fans. He also bought a Griz shirt, but tends to wear this one more often-- gets a rise out more people... I wasn't the only one to tell him he was dressed as a looser! He then asked his wife for a glass of water to pour on me and my camera--- nice friends I've got, huh?

Time for the pinata! The young women made this bat out of a milk jug and papiermache` wings, it was pretty strong. I think all the kids got to take a whack at it.

Cody was the first to actually get 3 good whacks on the jug. Finally the young women's president broke it open -- But I think she was cheating ... her head was tilted up so as to see just where the jug was.

Shantel and I -- Self portrait. All in all it was a fun evening. There were some nicely decorated trunks out in the parking lot and a prize for the spookiest. What a mess there was to clean up inside afterwards! It fell on our turn to clean the church! Thankfully there were others who also stayed and we had it done and headed home by a little after 9 pm.

What fun! I love all the fun games you all played. Our last ward did a little carnival inside and it was a blast. The ward we're in now only does a parade of costumes and then the trunk-or-treating...in daylight! Bummer! But still fun!
Lauren- It is a lot of safe fun. We had fun creating and putting together the costumes.
Brooke- yeah I checked out your pix of trunk or treating. Bummer you don't do the carnival .... we also did a simple dinner this year. I still take my kids trick and treating ... I think because I never got to go when I was a kid. :-)

Our church has its carnival on Halloween night, but we never go to it. We used to do the church carnival until we took the kids trick or treating one night. They have been hooked since then. We will go to Jeff's brother's neighborhood and trick or treat with them. We had a great time last year!!!

Sherri- Since the trunk or treat is not often on Halloween, we go trick and treating too. then we can wear the costumes more than once.

I bet it was a blast! I can hardly wait for Tree Faerie to be old enough to enjoy this type of thing! We're just going to pass out candy tomorrow night.

Andrea- yeah it is fun and when she gets a little bigger you'll have a blast! I think Cody was 3 and Shantel almost 2 when we took them for the first time.
Keeley- we are such a amall ward that it's like a big family get together and we just all have fun! Yeah, I guess Shantel is a mini-me, huh?! :-)
